Pub Review - Cricketers Arms
Review
This pub is situated in a typical village green setting with the village cricket team often playing a few yards away. It's a very pleasant spot to sit outside on a Summer's day. I may be wrong but the interior of the pub appears to be authentically old, rather than being renovated to look old. There is a large iron stove fireplace and plenty of wooden beams and exposed brick walls.
We visited on the way home from a particularly enjoyable food event, the Chili Festival at West Dean College, and a pint of Youngs bitter at the pub went down a treat!
The Cricketers has a unique claim to fame because the British sport of lawnmower racing was invented here.
