Anchor Inn
15th century pub in Hartfield - between Crowborough and East Grinstead - on the edge of Ashdown Forest. Wood burning stove, inglenook and stone-flagged floors. Beers include Harveys Best, Adnams and Flowers IPA.

Coach and Horses
Since 1847, the Coach and Horses has served the communities of Danehill and Chelwood Gate. First as an ale house but now as a country pub and restaurant, serving award-winning food alongside pub classics. The traditional pub bars remain and are busy, not only, with locals but new faces lucky enough to have discovered the charm and quality of this Sussex pub on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, between Uckfield, Crowborough and Haywards Heath.

Dorset Arms
The Dorset Arms dates back to the 15th century, when it was used as a farmhouse. It has been serving the local community as a pub for well over two hundred years, and boasts original flagstone floors, a huge open fireplace, and an accommodating and comfortable restaurant. Located in Withyham, north of Crowborough, near Ashdown Forest.

The Mark Cross Inn
The Mark Cross Inn, near Crowborough, reopened in May 2006 following a 12-week refurbishment. The Inn has been transformed into a light and spacious pub providing a comfortable, informal bar and several different dining areas. The pub has real fires and spectacular views from the beer garden over the Sussex countryside. The food is all home-made with great attention to detail using quality ingredients. There are five real ales and a decent wine list.
