The George at Eartham

The George has been a public house for over 170 years and is first shown on the Tithe Map from 1840. Nestled into the rolling hills of the Sussex South Downs National Park The George is just off the beaten track in the small village of Eartham, perfectly situated just 6 miles from the bustling city of Chichester and within 10 miles of Petworth, Midhurst and Arundel. The Seal

Richmond Arms

Country pub, restaurant, B & B in an idyllic Sussex rural village at the foot of the South Downs, five minutes from Chichester. Locals bar and country kitchen serving locally sourced meats, seafood, game and vegetables in an innovative manner. Sunday roasts cooked on our “Rotisserie” and meats/seafood grilled over local wild wood charcoal. Crate and Apple

Focused on a rustic, local, country feel the Crate and Apple pub and restaurant is the perfect dining spot or casual meeting place. Located in the centre of the historic Chichester at Westgate, we serve locally sourced, seasonal food in a relaxed and welcoming setting. With a lick of paint and some tasteful renovations the pub has transformed into a beautiful country style pub with a enclosed dining room and casual bar and meeting area. A large secluded terrace can be found at the back of the pub and the sun trap garden is perfect for a drink with friends or a relaxing meal. Our menu features dishes created from hearty ingredients and full flavour techniques. With the focus on traditional pub classics with a fine dining twist, there is something for everyone.

Chichester Inn

The Chichester is a traditional Inn, Grade 2 listed and dating from 1785, conveniently located within the old city walls, and a short walk to the Cathedral, Festival Theatre and Pallant House Gallery. With its separate dining and entertainment bars, heated courtyard garden, accommodation and free car park, this friendly and comfortable pub is a great local meeting place and base to explore picturesque Chichester, Goodwood, the South Downs and nearby sandy beaches.

The Blacksmiths

The Blacksmiths is a newly renovated pub situated on the outskirts of the historical city of Chichester in the old village of Donnington. Restored in a relaxed and comfortable style with a few quirky twists, guests can enjoy the blazing fire and homely charm of the anvil bar or the snug elegance of the dining room. There are also three uniquely furnished double bedrooms and a large garden area with outdoor seating, fire pits and our own herb and salad garden. Children will also love visiting the chickens, which supply all our eggs. Located close to the Chichester canal tow path, The Blacksmiths is a perfect stop off point for a refreshing pint, or perhaps an extended afternoon on the terrace. Wilkes Head

The Wilkes Head is a traditional family run country inn situated just off the A29 at Eastergate, near Chichester, West Sussex, tucked away down a quiet country lane. We’re CAMRA Sussex pub of the year for 2012 <em>and</em> 2013. “The Wilkes” opened its door as a pub in 1803 and the name is believed to be associated with political reformer John Wilkes who was a champion for the common people. “The Wilkes” is a quaint historic Grade II listed building with original features – in the flagstone floored main bar the large inglenook fireplace greets you with a roaring log fire, all day, every day through the cooler months. In warmer weather many enjoy a drink in the pretty garden which has a stream running through or dine al fresco in the sunshine. A good selection of traditional pub food and home made specials is available every day. Lunch served 12 noon till 2.30 pm and dinner 6.30 – 8.30 pm. Our Sunday roast is very popular, there is also a specials board to cater for most diners, children’s portions are available in most dishes.

The Greyhound

Welcome to The Greyhound country pub and restaurant. Set at the foot of the South Downs on the A286 just outside Midhurst near Chichester and Goodwood, we serve fresh seasonal food sourced, collected and delivered from local producers and merchants. The Greyhound is a real freehouse and consequently we have an excellent range of ales. We always have locally brewed beer as well as award winning beer from around the country. A wine list that caters for all tastes has been developed to bring value as well as quality. All this may be enjoyed in our recently opened conservatory restaurant or by the open log fire in the comfort of the original bar.

Ship Inn

The Ship Inn is an attractive village pub situated 150 yards from the shores of Chichester Harbour, with its fine walks and harbour tours for visitors. As well as serving excellent food, The Ship Inn retains all the characteristics of a traditional English Inn, with a convivial and relaxing atmosphere. The large bar area features panelled walls, wooden tables and chairs and comfortable upholstered armchairs in front of an open fire. The Ship Inn provides excellent holiday accommodation in a peaceful rural location near West Wittering, close to Goodwood and Chichester.

The Fountain Inn

The Fountain Chichester is one of the oldest public houses in Chichester. We have a wide and varied menu selection of traditional pub food, great beers and fine wines available to choose from. Full of rustic charm, this delightful public house in Chichester has a lovely and spacious restaurant area, an outdoor heated courtyard, and parking just to the rear of the building. The Fountain is a well known and loved music venue, with live bands on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. We host some of Chichester’s busiest and longest standing quiz nights, with cash prizes, both on a Thursday and a Sunday. Get there early to get a table!
